MANUAL: Hide groups (countries/categories) in TiviMate EPG

Why hide groups or countries in TiviMate Premium?

We give you many choices in TV channels, series and films. This will also include many countries or categories that you do not need. That is why in our Tivimate Premium IPTV Player you can decide which groups and countries you want to be visible and which you want to hide in your EPG. This increases clarity.

Hiding groups / countries / categories can be done in different ways in TiviMate Premium.

We will explain 3 different ways to easily hide and unhide groups / countries / categories in your TiviMate TV guide.
(in the methods below we use the category ‘FR | France’ and ‘FR | France Sport’ to hide)

Method 1 

This method is easiest if you only want to hide 1 group, if you want to hide multiple groups choose method 2 or 3, which is faster.

 1.1  Go to the group you want to hide. In this example ‘FR | France‘.

1.2  Press and hold the select/ok key on your remote control while you are on the group you want to hide (in this example ‘FR | France’). 

1.3  A menu will appear on the right side. Scroll down and click  Hide Group.

1.4  A message ‘Hide group?’ will appear. Click on Hide Group.

1.5  You are done. You will see that the group you wanted to hide (in this example ‘FR | France’) has disappeared from the list.

You can do method 1 for each group separately, but if you want to hide multiple groups at the same time, method 2 and method 3 are much faster.

Method 2 

This method is more convenient than method 1 if you want to hide multiple groups.

2.1  Go to any group (in this example ‘FR | France Sport’).

2.2  Press and hold the select/ok key on your remote control. A menu will appear on the right side.

2.3  Scroll down and click Manage groups.

2.3  A new menu will appear, click TV.

2.4  A new menu will appear.

2.5  Scroll down and click on the group you want to hide (in this example ‘FR | France Sport’). 

2.6  You will see that the blue button next to the group you click moves to the left and turns gray in color.

The group (in this example ‘FR | France Sport’) has now disappeared from the group list.
Any group you make gray will disappear from your list. To make the group again visible in your list, click on the group again, causing the button to slide to the right again and become blue in color. 

Method 3 

This method works similar to method 2, but you approach the menu in a different way, namely via settings.

3.1 Go to the main menu and clickk Settings (the gear icon).

3.2  A new menu will appear on the right.

3.3  Click playlists.

3.4  One or more playlists will appear depending on how many you have added in TiviMate or received from your provider. Click on the playlist for which you want to hide groups. If you only see 1 playlist, click on that one. 

3.5  A new menu will appear, scroll down to manage groups.

3.6  Click manage groups.

3.7  Click TV.

3.8  A new menu will appear, scroll down to the group you want to hide.

3.9  Click the name of the group you want to hide. In this example we want to hide the group ‘FR-B | France Backup’ and click on it.

3.10  You will see that the blue button next to the group you click moves to the left and becomes gray in color. 

In our example we also click on ‘FR-B2 | France Backup 2’.
The groups (in this example ‘FR-B1 | France Backup’ and ‘FR-B2 | France Backup 2’) have now disappeared from the group list.
Any group you make gray will disappear from your list. To make the group again visible in your list, click on the group again, causing the button to slide to the right and becomes blue.
