MANUAL: TiviMate installation on Android device via Downloader

 

Why install TiviMate IPTV Player via Downloader?

The Tivimate IPTV Player (not Premium) can be downloaded for free from the Google Play store. Search for TiviMate in the Google Play Store of your Android device (Android Smart TV, Chromecast, Google TV, Formuler, Nvidia Shield or other Android box) and install the TiviMate app on your device.

However, sometimes it is not possible to download the TiviMate app from the Google Play Store.
This may be due to country restrictions or other settings of your Play Store that prevent this from happening.
That is why we explain below how you can install TiviMate in a way other than via the Google Play store.
It’s a bit more cumbersome, but it works.

 

TiviMate Premium installation on Android Box, Android TV and Chromecast with Google TV via Downloader

This manual is intended for the installation of TiviMate IPTV app on any Android device when installing via the original Google Playstore fails. This manual is intended for Android devices (Nvidia Shield TV, Formuler, etc.), Android smart TVs, Google smart TVs and Chromecast with Google TV.

Installing TiviMate IPTV Player Premium and setting up your TiviMate 4K Premium subscription consists of 4 parts on an Android device:

  1. Part 1: Install Free TiviMate IPTV Player
  2. Part 2: Installing your TiviMate 4K Premium subscription
  3. Part 3: Activating TiviMate Premium
  4. Part 4: Change the correct settings in the TiviMate IPTV player

Below is Part 1 for installing the free TiviMate IPTV Player via Downloader if you are unable to install the free TiviMate IPTV Player via Google Play Store.

Once you are done with part 1, you can follow parts 2 to 4 from the standard guide for installing TiviMate Premium on Android device.

 

Part 1: Installing the Free TiviMate IPTV Player via Downloader


1. On the home screen of your Android device, select the Apps tab at the top

2. Go to the search box (Search for apps and games)

3. Enter downloader in the search box and then click search (the magnifying glass on the virtual keyboard at the bottom right of the screen)

4. Several search results will appear.
Select Downloader by AFTVnews (the orange Downloader logo) and click the select button on your Chromecast remote control.

5. Click Install

6. Wait for the installation to complete.

7. Click Open

8. A pop-up will appear with the text ‘Allow Downloader to access photos and media on your device?‘ Click Allow.

9. A Quick Start Guide will appear, click OK

10. You are now in the Downloader home screen where you see the address bar

11. Enter the following URL in the address bar: www.tivimate.nl/tivi and then click enter (the →| key on the virtual keyboard)

12. Your device will connect to the server

13. A popup will appear ‘For your security, your TV currently isn’t allowed to install unknown apps from this source. You can change this in Settings.’ Click Settings.

14. An overview of apps or just Downloader will appear.

15. Give Downloader permission to install unknown apps by clicking on the name of the app Downloader and the blue button will shift to the right.

16. A popup will appear: ‘Do you want to install this app?‘ Click Install

17. TiviMate is now installed, click Open

18. A pop up will appear: ‘For the app to operate correctly, please allow TiviMate to display over other apps‘ Click Settings.

19. A list of apps will appear.

20. Scroll down to TiviMate

21. Allow TiviMate permission to operate over other apps by clicking TiviMate. The blue button slides to the right.

22. Click on the home button of your remote control. Often the key with the symbol of a house. To return to the home screen.

23. Go to the Apps tab at the top of the screen

24. Click down once on your remote control to take you to the overview of Your Apps.

25. Now scroll all the way to the right until you see the TiviMate app. Stand on the logo of the TiviMate app and press and hold the select button on your remote control.

26. A selection menu will appear. Click on Move

27. Now move the TiviMate app all the way to the left by pressing and holding the left button on your remote control.tivimate chromecast via downloader28

28. If the TiviMate App is on the far left, click the select/ok button on your remote to put TiviMate at the front of your apps.

29. Now click on the back arrow on your remote control to finish moving the TiviMate app.

30. When you stand on the TiviMate logo, click the select/ok button on your remote control to open the TiviMate app.


You have now completed Part 1 of the installation. You have now installed the free TiviMate app. You now need to set the account details of your TiviMate 4K Premium subscription and unlock TiviMate premium.
